From the autograph session at Anime Expo 2006, a shikishi by Nagahama Hiroshi, who recently directed Mushishi. He took a while drawing for the 10 sketch winners so the bunch of us got cut off in line with less than 10 people ahead. After everybody scattered, I noticed a line reforming. The AX staff admitted that he jumped the gun, Nagahama was willing to stay longer to sign for everybody. Soon after I stood back in line it was cut off again, for real this time. Despite being late, Nagahama was still doing sketches for everybody. I asked for his favorite Mushi but was promptly chastised by the translator. It wasn't as if I was asking anything extra, he was drawing a Mushi for everybody anyway. I just wanted his favorite Mushi, too much to ask? In anycase, I think he drew the green cup from the first episode, funny that's his favorite. :) (7/3/06)
